Soap is a great gift for the person that you need to buy for, but really don't know that well or the person who has everything, it's a great secret Santa gift, office present or just good to have stashed away for the uncomfortable moment when you realize someone bought you something and you have nothing for them. It is also inexpensive and will not contribute to home clutter. You can buy a basket from us, make your own creation or follow one of the cute ideas outlined below.
One of the ideas a friend and I are doing this year for the musically inclined is to melt a vinyl record into a bowl/basket then put in soaps and inexpensive music related items such guitar picks, thrift store holiday sheet music, a favorite musician biography and other musically related items. I see old albums at the thrift store for .25 cents to $1.00 usually.I did this for my favorite used record store manager and he uses the melted album for a candy bowl year round.
If you know a gift recipient's favorite color or guest bathroom color you can buy a soap and wrap it up in a corresponding colored washcloth with a cute bow.
You could make the above idea even fancier if you wanted to tuck a small item into the bow of a wrapped artisan soap for an artist with some nice paintbrushes or for a crafter with a glue stick or scissors.
Soaps look great in a coffee cup for your coffee fiend friends and it's even cuter with a coffee related soap such as Cappuccino Mocha.
For the cook in the family a chef soap for the kitchen sink and some measuring teaspoons or cups tied to the bow would be a cute and really inexpensive gift.
If you want to relive a fun Las Vegas memory with a friend or family member any desert scent ( cactus-agave- strata- prickly pear soap ) and an animal print washcloth wrapped with a small string of lights will remind them of the fun you had in Vegas.
For the beer or wine lover we have several soaps that will fit the bill and tucked into a beer stein or wine glass with a cute bow around the stem or handle it will make a great gift.
And of course the obvious is to tie a soap to a soap dish with a bow- we have soap dish's that let the soap breath and drain to make for less messy and longer lasting soap but you can use any soap dish you feel appropriate for your family or friend.
Happy Holidays and have fun creating this season!
